Wether it is sailing, water skiing, jet-skiing, wake-boarding or snorkeling you’re after, Roatan’s offers it all. Water sports are available in West End, West Bay, Brick Bay or French Harbour. Most drive and snorkel sites are close to shore, which makes them fun and easy for guests to enjoy.
Snorkeling
Is varied and beautiful all over the island. Snorkels, fins and masks can be rented from dive shops, resorts, vacation rentals and through activity providers.

Sea Kayaking
Take time to explore the island via kayak. Most resorts offer kayaks, or they can be rented along West End Beach, West Bay Beach, Brick Bay and Palmetto Bay Plantation.

Snuba
A recreational activity that combines de principles of snorkeling and scuva diving, breathing through and air duct and a total underwater inmersion at a maximun depth of 16 feet.
A 15-minute induction and the ability to manipulate heavy equipment is enough to do it. Even 4-year olds can enjoy the experience if seeing the underwater world and coral reefs.

Scuba Diving
Diving, and the treasures to be found below the surface of the clear blue Caribbean Sea, has been Roatan’s main attraction for a long time. Caves and crevices, thousand-foot walls, wrecks, abundant sea life, dolphins, sharks, whale sharks and the largest number of sponges in the Caribbean, makes Roatan, and the Bay Islands, one of the most desirable diving destinations in the world.
Wreck Diving
“The Odyssey” is a 210-foot cargo boat perfectly sunk in 100 feet of water on a sandy bottom. It is teeming with Deep Garden Eels. It has been adapted for penetration diving so you can descend into large open compartments and view a number of fish in the homes they have made for themselves. “El Aguila” is a 200-foot cargo boat sunk in about 100 feet of water.

Submarine Tours
A three-man submarine can take you to depths of 2000 feet, where you will see ship wrecks and the strange and wonderful marine life found in the deep. Stanley Submersible is located at Half Moon Bay Cabins in West End.

Catamaran Cruises
The luxury 70-foot Catamaran “Grazia-Felice,” the largest custom cat in the Caribbean, the Jolly Rogger Fleet and the luxury catamaran “Nina II” offer sunset and day trips complete with drinks, music, snacks, and snorkelling.

Coral Reef Explorer allows you to view the wonders of the reef without getting your feet wet.

Dolphin Encounter
If you ever dreamed of playing with dolphins, this is the chance to do it. You can learn and watch the personality and behaviour of these amazing mammals. Accompanied by a guide, you will be able to take photographs and video recordings to remain in your memory this unforgettable experience.
Diving with dolphins
After a first meeting with the dolphins at the platform, a ship will take to the open sea, where you can dive with them. This adventure is only available for certified divers.

Sport fishing
A full range of deep sea fishing and fly fishing is available on Roatan. There is no fishing license agreement for shallow or deep sea fishing. The use of spear guns and slings is prohibited in Honduras.
